I went to the Carnahan Creek area this fall hoping the oak trees would have the color that they did last year here. The trees weren't that spectacular, but the sumac was really pretty for a few days. I've been out several times this fall shooting with Dad, on this trip we went down the Swede Creek road and found lots of interesting stuff to photograph, including some Bison in the area. Photos can be found here.Labels: fall, flinthills, kansas, photos, swede creek
Back to one of my favorite places, Pillsbury Crossing just outside Manhattan, KS. The photos can be viewed here.Labels: kansas, photos, Pillsbury crossing, waterfalls
I'm behind in getting my news page updated with where I've been shooting, so this is the first of several quick updates. Here are some photos I took in Marshall County, KS earlier this fall. Some storm clouds were moving in and provided some nice shots.Labels: fall, kansas, Marshall county, photos
On our way to Arkansas (see the previous post) we stopped at Elk City Falls southeast Kansas for me to shoot some pics, which can view here.Labels: Elk City falls, kansas, photos, waterfalls

I recently visited the Tall Grass Prairie National Grasslands near Cottonwood Falls and Strong City in Chase County, Kansas with a couple of friends. We visited the Chase County Courthouse, the oldest operating courthouse in Kansas and did some photography there and then stopped at an old railroad depot and a cementary before hiking the nature trail at the Tall Grass Prairie. You can find some information on the Tall Grass Prairie Grasslands here and info on Chase County here. This is a good place to visit and look around, both on the Prairie and in the towns of Cottonwood Falls and Strong City. If you are driving down from Manhattan, an excellent place to stop for some food is the Hays House Restaurant in Council Grove (which is also a neat town to explore). My color photos from this trip can be viewed here and my Infrared Photos here. Hope you Enjoy!Labels: Chase County, IR, kansas, photos, Tall Grass Prairie
